Ampliamento di una villetta, Cannero Riviera (Verbania), Lago Maggiore, 2012
Progetto acrobatico di ampliamento di una villetta degli anni Settanta: per ragioni normative il nuovo volume non può fuoruscire dal perimetro dell’edificio esistente, ma la struttura della villetta -pareti portanti in cemento prefabbricato, spessore finito 14 cm- non è in grado di sopportare carichi aggiuntivi. I nuovi volumi in legno -una serra bioclimatica e una camera da letto- devono essere autoportanti: la loro forma è determinata, oltre che dall’esposizione solare, dall’individuazione degli appoggi disponibili. Il progetto non è stato realizzato.

Acrobatic extension project for a small Seventies house: for legal reasons the new volume cannot exceed the perimeter of the existing building, but the structure of the house – bearing walls in prefabricated cement up to 14 cm thick – is not able to support additional loads. The new parts in wood – a bioclimatic greenhouse and a bedroom – must be self-supporting: their shape is determined, in addition to exposure to the sun, to the location of available points of support.The project hasn’t been realised.
