Recupero di una villa sulle colline torinesi, Marentino, 2015 – 2018
Restauro e riorganizzazione di una villa di origini settecentesche sulle colline torinesi.
L’edificio viene riarticolato con criterio stagionale: l’uso invernale è limitato alla sola zona del sottotetto, in precedenza non abitata, che viene isolata termicamente (fibra di legno per la copertura, pannelli di canna palustre per le pareti).
Per il resto, gli interventi di modifica dell’assetto esistente consistono in poche aggiunte circoscritte: una rampa di scale, due bagni e alcune partizioni interne, tutte realizzate in legno, pannelli di canna palustre e intonaco di calce.
In tutte le parti nuove – il tetto e le pareti interne – la struttura in legno è stata lasciata a vista.
Le lastre di fibrocemento rosso della vecchia copertura sono state riutilizzate nella costruzione del portico all’Hangar Bicocca di Milano.

Restauration and reorganization of a villa dating from the 18th century, on the hills near Turin.
The building has been rearticulated on a seasonal principle: winter use is limited to the loft zone only, previously not habitable, which has been thermally insulated (wood fibre for the roof, reed panels for the walls).
For the rest, the modifications of the existing layout consist in few circumscribed additions: a flight of stairs, two bathrooms and some internal partitions, all built in wood, reed panels and lime plaster.
The timber structure of all the new parts – roof and internal partitions – is exposed.
The red fiber-cement sheets of the old roof were reused in the construction of the portico at Hangar Bicocca, Milan.
